I  installed the trial version of TFP 14  last week, and am absolutely happy with it,
The photorealistic rendering is what surprises me. Unfortunately I was not  able to make a copy of  the ones I got with perfection.TFP is really an unbelievablely powerfull programme.Hats off to all those behind it.

Hi John,

Welcome to TurboFLOORPLAN and the Forum!

I agree with your sentiments entirely. I have been using TFP and it's predecessor FloorPlan3D almost daily since version 3 and it truely is capable of incredible things.  The flexibility of this latest version means you can create almost anything and generate an image that looks exactly like a photo, as you have obviously discovered.

What was the problem that you were "not able to make a copy of the ones I got with perfection"? Did the file not get saved? or did you forget to change the file name and overwrote it with an image that was not as good?  In the image below I have just pointed out these two possibilities in case you were not aware of them.  I presume you are using the PRO version.

If you have not noticed, when you are using the Advanced render, once the image is created you can stay on the same screen, click Modify Viewpoint, move the camera and then "take another photo" from a different angle. Just click the Step 2 button and the secondview will be produced very quickly. You can do this as many times as you like but don't forget to change the image name each time!!!!  In this regard you may find this post interesting if you have not seen it already: http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,80.0.html.

If you decide to purchase it you will find that you do not have to reinstall.  The trial is the full version so it just has to be 'activated'.  Any models you have created will still be there.

Have fun,

Allan

Thanks a lot Allan, what I meant was ,I  didnt rename the  image file, and it was overwritten by some not-so-good rendered images. Now I will start renaming for each view, thanks a lot again for your advice.
Obviously, I wont think twice before I purchase this incredible  product,(of course, with people like you around.)

Hi John,

Yes I thought that might be the problem - we have all done that many times!!  We have put a request in to have a message pop up as a warning, so hopefully some future version will incorporate it. Unfortunately I don't think it will be in the next one though (V15) because the new version of Envisioneer (it's much more expensive parent product) has just been released and it does not have it yet, so TFP V15 almost certainly won't.

The lastest Envisioneer does have a new feature in the rendering area that allows you do re-select the cameras you have in the model view, which is very useful.   It means you can select the different views and render them without going back to the model. Hopefully TFP V15 will include this. We will have to wait and see.  The subsequent version of TFP usually comes out a few months after Envisioneer, so may not be many months away. If you buy V14 now they usually offer a very generous discount on the latest version.

TFP is quite intuitive, but, if you get stuck along the way, just ask here and you will usually find someone who can help.  I am not much good on the technical computer side of things but Pat will usually come to the rescue there and get things sorted out. When it comes to rendering (which is TFP's main function of course) there are a number of others beside me, with many years of experience, such as Robert, Doug, Jack and others. Doug works with several other rendering programs, so can often suggest other ways of doing things if necessary, while Jack also works in TurboCAD and Envisioneer regularly and often pops in with little goodies he has found or divised there, that work in TFP also (such as the Measuring Stick http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,1068.0.html). He has produced some excellent, easy to follow, training videos to get new ones started quickly too - http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,1065.0.html. He helped me and many of us a lot in the early days of FloorPlan3D!

Anyway, there is always someone here to help when you need it and usually pretty quickly too.
