"lock" toolbars once setup
« on: October 17, 2007, 01:43:12 pm »
I use a dual monitor system and place all toolbars and the catalog (or whatever it auto switches to) on the right screen so I have a max. view on left screen of drawing window(s)

I place the toolbars in "normal" mode.

If I ever turn a toolbar on or off or change its format or color, all toolbars default to left screen in a column and they lose their position on the right screen. And I must reset their position manually.

For normal shutdown and start-up they remain in their correct last position OK.

Recommendations:

- future version please provide a screen position "lock" (user on/off....in the toolbar controls panel) so toolbars don't re-position for a minor change

- suggest you add a "snap" together mode so when toolbars get close together they don't overlap one another or be able to move off the screen edge.

Template system per TC ??

I've got dual screens, too, and could not do anything serious in TC until I had created a workable 'screen' template.

Putting Main view on LHS, two orthogonals, identical wire-frame & filled perspectives on RHS plus text/info left six feet of margins for big-icon toolbars...

Middle-aged eyes, and a memory that can't remember hot-keys...
