Hi, This is a rendering of a interior of a cabin I have use same settings for both image, cabin3.png and cabin3i.png the difference is that I have use enable daylight in cabin3.png and disable daylight in cabin3i.png.

Radiosity level 5 1500 steps, lighting 1, Ray tracing 4.

First I render with enable daylight then, I save  the image as copy whit a new name, without close my rendering window, you can do it with your default file manager without close TFP because TFP rendering-program,the rendering is already saved as a bmp-file, in my case I convert the bmp-file to a png-file direct the I renamed the file. Next without closing the render window or change the view, I disable the daylight then I start to rending one more time, now I have to image of same object but different lighting.
The 3.ed image cabin3c.png have I use Corel PSP Photo X2.5 to overlay cabin3.png with cabin3i.png whit help of layers, cabin3.png is background and cabin3i.png is 2nd layer, I have set the 2nd layer transparency to 30% and blend mode lighting and the result is what you see in the image.

In this image can you also see my special  2 part extra thin doors, external extra door and screen-door put together in a special ultrathin external wall to put the doors in, this is only way to put 2 different door together in same wall-space.

Hi Robert,

They have come out great!

It is a shame though that we have to resort to combining two images into one, just to get daylight and artificial lights on at the same time!

Another technique I have used to solve this problem with PaintShop: Instead of setting the transparency of the whole image I have sometimes used the Erase tool (Rubber on the end of a pencil icon) and set its Opacity to just 10-20% and the Hardness to zero. This allows you to make just parts of the top image transparent gradually. You can make parts of the image totally or partially transparent (by repeated clicks), and other not, to utilise the best parts of each image.  For instance you could use the "no daylight" image as the top one and only make it transparent around the windows where sunlight is coming in or the other way around - use the "daylight" image on top for its effect but make the areas around the interior lights transparent  (or partially) so the they still appear illuminated with graduated light around them.

As you say, the two thin walls is the only way to have two doors in the one space. Bit iof a pain but it works well.

Very nice Robert.

It's great to see people working around 'problems' with computer programs and yours is a do able solution. Nice to see the process and final results. It looks like a pretty fancy cabin to me  :), no fish smell allowed.
