That's great to hear Judy.
On tip from me, I don't know if Allan already try it and use it in "Allan's woodwork shop"

!
I fund out that import cad files is very easy, you can take a 2d dwg file and make it 3d in TFP by trace it.
I use to do that chipboard 12, 16 and 25 mm thickness but that is only you image how limit you, as Allan usually say then it come to special work in TFP.
I have ad wood works-group To follow Elements by use "Element Manager"; Floors: Walls: Surface all 3: Ceilings and Members. The you all the other elements in layout to play around with.
To trace the dwg you had to use different tools in TFP, for flat surface you can use Floor or Ceilings (Picking points) for standing structures you can use all the layout tools and convert to walls, or retaining walls, I think you can find use for the other tools also but I have not try all yet but Surface is a useful tool to do lending plans.
I have a fave then it come to 2d dwg and office and school project that is on frome US
http://www.ki.com/ they also som 3d dwg
but this you have to export to dxf-file if you will use them in TFP. To use 2d object and convert them to 3d is like play with LEGO very fun.
