Import .dwg
« on: August 11, 2010, 07:35:05 am »
An architect has done drawings for our house, I have the .dwg and .pdf files and would like to import them for my own project plans.

.dwg import is working, but it looks like it imports it all as an "image", i.e. I can select only all or nothing, would need to remove certain items, e.g. trees, scale text etc.

Looking at other posts here, some people talk about "tracing" a drawing, but I don't find any tracing option in TFP 3d Pro evaluation, is this not available?

Hi Werner,

The option is on the same menu as the DWG import. File / Import / Project Trace Image...

The trial version is the full version - nothing is restricted on the period it will work (15 days).
When you come to trace the image you may want to read this post (if you have not already). http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,1267.0.html
