Importing 3D Objects
« on: August 13, 2010, 07:32:12 am »

I was reading the HELP files about IMPORTING.
According to what it said,   that I can import  .skp (Sketchup)  objects.
Question:      Can I use these imported  .skp objects the same way  I use
                         3ds objects ?

                                                                                               garystan

Hi garystan,

Yes you can import SKP, DXF and 3DS and use them in exactly the same way.
SKP objects generally import the textures also.

BIM objects are probably best as they are often created by the product manufacturer to exact speciaifcations and they import straight into your catalogue. (File / Catalogues / Import BIM)
