Loading TFP without an Open Project ?
« on: October 30, 2007, 07:57:53 pm »
I may have asked this before, but I'm old, have CRS, and don't remember what I had for supper.

Is there a setting that allows one to start the program without opening Project No. 1 every time?  Most of the time, most of us probably start the program then open a file we've worked on before.  I find it a real nuisance to have to close Project No. 1 and to have to respond to the nag message about this project.  In Program Settings - General I have both boxes unchecked in Startup.

Have I missed something (again)?  If so, please tell me where.  If not, please add this to the wish list for the very next update!

My TFP works same as yours and I have not found any way to change it either but consider it a minor nuisance.

I also get the "..use small/normal....96dpi..." at every start-up (probably because my laptop is at "large fonts" but at screen at 120 dpi (1400x1050 which is my native LCD) everything works just fine anyway...and I like the high resolution screen...that is why i bought it.

Um, mine are 1440 x 900.

But I gotta upgrade the CAD_PC cards' graphics driver to OpenGL 2.0, and I'm still getting goose-bump flash-backs from trying that on this modest Browser_PC...

There does seem to be something wrong with the checkbox.  unchecked should open a blank screen in my opinion.
However in the meantime you can always click on the file itself which will execute the application, at least on my system.

Thanks,
Dave
