Would I be able to "Export" & "Import" a 3D view like I can an Elevation View?

If I can, which one would I Export to - 2D image, 2D drawing or 3D model?

How would I know the size/scale?

Hi Garry,

Yes you can - export as a 2D image.

Scale is not relevant in 3D - just make it to fit the space you have for it, so it is proportionate with your plan and elevations. You can resize it after importing it to whatever size you want.  Import it as a Project Trace Image (NOT using the Object Wizard).  A simple example is attached (Cabinet plan).

Every 2D and 3D program I know/use (many) usually allow to scale on import and all allow to adjust sizes after import...so it is a non issue...

But, best to include an item of known size so "adjusting" is easier.

"Scale" is not usually the issue...but relative size of items to each other so they are in the same scale...whatever that scale happens to be.  Some programs have units of no scale...just relative sizes.

If of great concern....do what CSI people do...include image of a scaled ruler in the image or a legend of scale like xx inches = xx feet.....or better yet..."not to scale" or you will get more problems with people measuring a moving target of copies.

For houses/buildings/landscapes include a person or two to imply scale.
