Caution StatementIf you are new to the program I suggest you DO NOT try to create a new Catalog until you know how to properly create and save them. This is no place for experimenting.
I am afraid that this relatively easy to access option is going to cause major problems with Newbies to the program, so leave it alone!
Restoring Lost 'Symbols List'If you do not have a list of objects on the right of the drawing area you should first go to Program Settings (on top Menu Bar) / then Workspace and make sure there is a check in the box next to
'Info Panel'If the 'Info Panel' is 'blank' then you have the wrong Catalog loaded. Go to File / Catalogs / Open Catalogs / and select one of the
Master Catalogs (metric or imperial).
The Simple Way to Edit the Catalog You can go into the Catalog 'list' on the right of the drawing area and Add New / Edit (existing) Catalog items until you are blue in the face. Select an Symbol and
Right Click / Add or Edit Element. So play it safe and Add New / Edit from there until you understand the basics and implications of creating your own new catalog and how to turn them on and off.
