Hi Jim,

Glad to hear the scale problem is sorted.
I'm afraid I can't help with the Grid - I am away from home at present and while I have the laptop with me I don't have the printer so can't see if it prints or not. Actually I can't say I have ever seen the grid print but maybe it does if it is turned on on-screen - but you have tried that.

Sorry can't help right now.

Now if I could just figure out why my grid lines or dots don't show up in the print, I'll be home free.
They show in the preview, but not in the final PDF.
Jim

Not sure I have the problem/solution.....but when I "print" to PDF, I use 600 dpi setting....does not increase file size much as images are compressed....but it ensures fine lines are not lost....

maybe that would work for dots and grid.

Also most programs don't print the grid/guides as they are layout tools....but some progs do have a check mark to "print grid".....I have not looked for that in TFP, maybe it changed in newer version?.....good to search help, settings, dialog boxes to see if it is "off" or can be "on" to print.

Doug:

Thanks for answering here.

If I put the Acrobat setting to 600, the distortion returns and I do not get the grid lines to show except in the print preview.

Is there a setting within TFP that you are referring to?

Hi Jim,

Apparently TFP is set to produce printed output at 300 DPI to the printer. If your printer is settable tp this resolution, then it should prrint distortion frree. If not, then via PDF at 300 DOI should do it.

Still not home so can't check the grid. As Doug implied. i don.t think it is possible unless you maunfacture one. Easy to do.

I don't use TFP .pdf output; rather I use (and Allan uses a similar but different 'brand') PDF printer called PDFCreator. Installs like a printer and works on all programs to "print" the page(s) on screen but is not a screen grab of screen pixels...uses the data sent to the screen....so you get a quality image of what you see.

I have PDF Creator Plus 4 and Adobe PDF. Adobe has more editing / printing / security / presentation tools. In addition, PDF creator plus 4 has layout problems (scaled plans)
