help me about stairs

hi i am begginer in floor plan 3d i have two software floor plan3d vers 4.1 and floor plan 3d home & pro 16

i am building a house 3 stories high and adding stair see below in pro 16



and with help of floor plan 3d v4.1




why i didnt get a clear area over roof where stair end to go to next floor in pro 16 but get a clear access in floor plan 3d v4.1
kindly help

In the later versions of FloorPlan3D you will have to manually cut the opening in the floor (and ceiling) for the stairs.  Here is a link with a very good example video and step by step procedure on how to do this: http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,1241.msg6854.html#msg6854
