No interior sill
« on: September 30, 2007, 03:50:45 am »
I set the option for interior sill and all it does is eliminate the bottom casing, the sill does not show up. It works just fine for the exterior but not the interior.

What am I doing wrong?

Is this a Bug? - No interior window sill

Jeff,

I can't get this to work either.  The sill settings are part of the wall properties and you have to set Left Interior, Right Interior and External but I assume you have done that.  I have tried every combination I can find but to no avail.

What are we missing or is this a bug?

That has been a problem with the program  for a while. I'm not sure if it is a bug or an inablity to program it.

I you want you could use the top rail option in Railings and size / save it as a sill.  You must then draw it out at each window making it long enough to go past the trim. And then elevate it to the bottom of each window. Remember that Railing heights are at 2' 7.5" to start with so you must subtract the window heigth from the head height to get the bottom dim of the window and then raise the sill taken into account it is starting at 2' 7.5".

A bit of a pain but do able until they ever figure it out. They work on the exterior so you'd thing it would be an easy fix, but apparently not.

Thanks for the reply Jack. I really don't care what it's called "bug" "inability to program it", hopefully they will fix this. I am using your suggestion in the mean time. A work around here or there is no big deal. Too many of them however, ends up being more of a struggle than its worth. I mean this is suppose to be fun isn't it?

So far it looks like a great program. I am familiar with the interface since it is Identical to 3D Home Architect with some very nice improvements.
