TFP free demo - they will not send me a link!
« on: October 04, 2007, 12:28:13 pm »
I have requested the free demo of TFP from the IMSI website, but they have not sent me an e-mail with download instructions.  I have tried to e-mail IMSI for help but all of my messages get returned.  This is somewhat frustrating.  I am interested to see for myself how TFP compares with FP3Dv11, but I don't want to pay for something that I am not sure I will like.  Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the download?  I have tried to call IMSI, but I can never seem to reach them durring their business hours.

Thanks.

Use this link to apply if you haven't already  http://activate.imsisoft.com/freeen.aspx?Product=TFS12
They took a little while to be back to me as well, but they will.

I've used the same link many times.  How many weeks/months did it take them to reply to you?  I would like to move on a software upgrade soon, and I would like to "kick the tires" on TFP before I consider it over the alternatives available.  I called their 1-800 number, and the clowns who represent IMSI gave me a local number to call IMSI direct.  I am in northern Canada, and I am not willing to pay long distance charges to New Mexico during business hours to request a free demo.  I have sent e-mails to IMSI and they have all been returned as not a valid recipient.  I have used TCv8 and FP3Dv7 for years, and I don't mind sticking with the product if it is what I need, but this nonsense is becoming a waste of my time.

Here is the link to download the Trial Version of Turbo FloorPlan Pro
http://www.imsidesign.com/Products/TurboFLOORPLANFamily/HomeLandscapePro/tabid/398/Default.aspx
Click the download link located on the left.
It's a large file and does take a little time to download...  even if you're on cable.

Once it's downloaded go to the folder you saved it to and install the .exe

It's a beefy program so be sure to read the system requirements and I wouldn't recommend having a lot of other programs open while using the software.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your input.

Anyways, I feel like a complete moron.  After spouting off like that, I happened to look in the spam folder of my e-mail, and guess what I found?  Oops!  But I do wonder why they ended up there in the first place.  Oh well, guess I can give it a try now.

Don't beat yourself up to much -- the stupidest question ever asked was the one that was never asked.
Just take your time, and try to cover your bases before you get yourself all riled up  ;) As with everything new, there is a learning curve to take into account. It really is a cool program! Plus with the all the questions and answers posted on this forum you should be able to search out an answer... or ask one if it hasn't been addressed.
