Hi - Welcome to the forum.

I don't know the first thing about soccor but I presume it is the lines on the field that you are having a problem with.  If so, the easiest way to do it is probably to use Tools/Layout.  Draw the circles, lines etc. and right click each and Convert To / Edging.  Select Rail Edging and choose one of the concrete ones.  The ones already defined are obviously too thick, just change the thickness to 1 millimetre or fraction of an inch. (Best to create this edging size first (right click in the tree and Add New). If you want it to look as though it is painted on the grass so you can 'see' the grass through it, change the texture of the edging so that it is semi transparent.

For the size of circles etc - watch the Commander Bar at the bottom (Settings/Toolbars and turn on, if not there) as this will show the size as you draw the circle etc. and you can also use Tools/Measure to see the distances between things.

Hope that is not too brief to follow - ask again if you don't understand any of it.

Hi Alan,
I am honestly happy to be on this forum! I did figured it out, with your help ofcourse. I still not more tips from you. I need to make a high barbed wire net structure that are used in baseball batting cages and behind goal post to prevent the ball from living the field, and protecting the fans,,,,, if you know that i mean..!

Albert

Hi Albert,

There are a few ways you could make the Mesh screen. In the attached image I have just made a box enclosure to give you ideas. I have used 3 Picture Frames (Interior Accessories right click and Add New. Select Picture Frames and change the sizes of the frame). In this case I have made the frame 25mm square and set the Matting to 1mm so it disappears.  The "Picture" is set to a Fabric that is set to 80% transparent so you can see through it.  The top is a Box, imported the same as the Picture Frame and set to the same fabric and the front edge is a Box again resized and set to the same textrue as the Frame in the Picture Frame elements.

You will find it looks OK in 3D view but the transparency does not work in Basic Render but in Advanced render, as I have used, it renders transparent with an effective shadow. This was at Qualit level 3.  You will need to experiment with the transparency setting (double-click the texture - setting right at bottom) to get the effect you want.

I have attached the bld file also in case it helps.

Again if you can't work out some of my explanation, ask again for more details.

Hi Albert,

That presents a problem - I just assumed you had the Pro version that does the house and interiors also.

I dont know what is in the Landscape only version but you could use PVC Edging to make the 3 walls, increase the height of course and use a fabric Gingham is ideal if it is there. You will need something for the top so when I get home  I will attach a file you can use. (on train at present!)

Albert,

Thought about it a bit more and there are other Landscaping items you could use to get the effect you want.  In the image below I have used the PVC Edging for the vertical sides, a Ranch Fence for the support posts and rails and concrete retaining wall for the 'roof'.  The wall was set to 2400mm wide and 1mm high and then right-click Elevated. It was the only item that seemed to have the Elevate option. The wall and edging were all set to Fabric - Decor/ Gingham and set to 60% transparency.  May be better at 70% but that depends on what you want to achieve.  You could also use the Lattice material (under Landscape Materials) but it does not allow the transparency so becomes a bit too heavy to look like mesh. All must be rendered Advanced to get the transparency.

I have also added some 3DS objects so you can Add them to your objects (Maybe in Exterior Furniture). Right click in Elements list, Add, choose Import Geometry and browse to the file. Set the initial size during the import.  You can adjust later, resize and apply textures to make them into many other things.  The posts and rails could be done using the Cube or Disk and even the sides and roof if you wanted.  ou can push them together to make other things, File/Export as 3DS and import again as one object to reuse later (Turn off the Terrain during export)

Hope this helps,

Allan

Albert and Allan this is my effort to the footboll goal.

import eather the dxf or 3ds file to catalog
for dxf use layers you get 4 diffrent layers roof, walls default and columns
for 3ds you also get 4 diffrent layers mat1 and mat2 is the metall any colour you will mat 3 and mat 4 is the net use net.bmp
footbollgoal.jpg left goal is 3ds and right is dxf
the goals have nearly correct hight and width 2440 mm X 7320 mm
it is easy to your one net. use net.bmp as template to get transperant you have to use bmp and violet background
