Displaying FRAMING
« on: October 04, 2007, 01:54:07 pm »
By Default 'Framing' is turned off in the program.

To see your framing you must do two things.

1) Turn off  Surfaces (of related Element)
2) Turn ON Framing.

This is accomplished in the View Filter, by using the Eye icon to display or not display an item.

For Framing you first must 'Unlock' it by unchecking the 'lock framing' box on the bottom of the 'Elements on Location' page. Then select the + sign next to the framing you want displayed.

Framing is broken into Ceilings / Floors , Roofs and Walls. (and sometimes more, like slabs if assigned framing options)

You have full control over which ones you want shown.

I am having a issue with the view framing of my drawing in Instant Architect v-12.
when I go to [VIEW] then [FRAMING VISABILITY] then [DISPLAY FRAMING] the program shuts down. I get a message" Tourbofloorplan instant architect has stopped working"...."windows is searching for solution"  then it goes crashes.

I have installed the new patch as well as tried to manipulate the "view icons"  to no avail....very frusterating..

please help

Has framing actually been assigned for it to display?
Do you get the same result if you try to display the framing on a different project?

I have not worked with Instant Architect, but this problem can occur in TurboFloorPlan if there is a corrupt object (usually a wall). If it works OK with a different project, I would try checking the wall joins to make sure you do not have some odd connections - may need to zoom in really close.
