I have never used the wizard until now - just to have a look following your question. Having completed it, I find that the building is exactly the same as ones created from a blank page - everything is fully editable if you select it. You will find the foundation is on the Basement Location, so in plan view you would have to select Basement before you can select the foundation to edit it.
As far as the extra catalog items are concerned I would not worry about it if I was you. Yes there are extra things on the CD and they are downloadable (usually from the website from where you downloaded the program) but in fact I did not find anything of any use. I looked at every item and only added ONE to my catalog that I though I MIGHT use - I haven't yet after 12 months of daily use! They appear to be just elements culled out from the main catalog to keep its size down - as such all seem to be inferior versions of some items still in the catalog or things that in practice you would not likely use (hence they deleted them). There are a few bathroom settings that are OK in themselves but they are not editable - if you want to move the toilet, change the handbasin or have a bigger or smaller shower - too bad! The whole bathroom is all fixed hence of no use, unless you are happy with it exactly as it is.
You are entitled to the extra items and if you use the phone number provided for support you should be able to get the link to download them but (for my purposes at least), it was not worth the effort.
