TCAD-FP
« on: October 10, 2007, 07:01:54 am »
Hallo Jack,
You were kind enough to offer your help a few days agao.
As there is currently no bridge between FP and TFP, I've decided to try to get my design over to TCAD, but run into the following problem. (if I load a tutorial.bmf file, Floor Plan Print Space Maker works without problems.
But if I try to open my design, I get the following message:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
X  Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\Program Files\IMSIDesign\TCWP14\Program\FPBRIDGE.exe
    R6025
   -pure virtual function call
                                                    OK
If I hit OK, then FP Print Space Maker Window disappears and I get the following error message:

"TurboCAD Professional 14
!  Failed to open C:\Documents and Settings\.....\FloorPlan 3D v11\Documents\Lo-15 Addition.bmf:Part Tree.

                                                   OK
When I hit OK, this window closes and TCAD window is open.

What do I need to do to get my design open - your help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Gerald

Hi Gerald,

If you can load the tutorial bmf file I'll assume you have no problem with v14 in general.

So, give this a try.

Open TCAD, start 'new from scratch file'. You should have a 'blank' TCAD drawing.

Now go to Insert / File , locate your bmf file and hopefully it will open. You may have some additional adjustments to make but first see it the Insert / File option works.

Hi Jack,
I have not worked any details in v.14 so I can also only asume that it works in general since it can load the tutorial.bmf file without problems.
I've just tried your suggestion, however, end up with the same results and error messages. I've also tried it with File / Open and then my file - no go.
I've tried both options with the tutorial.bmf and in both cases it opens after Confirm Replace  'FloorPlan' Category already contains FP16725665197"  Replace / Replace all or Skip / Skip all or Rename: New Name
What is the meaning of this message please?

Can I send you the design file so you can try it? Please let me know how to send it, if yes.
