I always have the camera height in the program set to eye height and the original photo would have been the same although there is a very slight rise in front of the house.
The best thing is just to move the camera around so that it looks right. For instance, because the front door is set back, the camera had to be directly in front of the door or the wall at right angles to the door did not look right. You will get the same effect if you could see the ceiling of the veranda. Unless you are dealing with a significant slope then just go for eye height which would usually be your photo height.
