Hi Allan, thank you very much for the quick suggestions! They got us much closer to a solution!
Option #1 ('Cut an opening around next story') didn't seem to work, possibly because of the difference in roof slope between roof #1 & #2

Option #2 ('Cut Opening') came very close. It got rid of all the 'poke thru roof', except for what seems to be the 'overhang' of the roof and that I can't figure out how to 'cut' out.
Any ideas how to get the last artifacts out?
By the way Allan, I'm very proud of you for helping so many strangers, it's an inspiration. It's been my experience that treating people right and giving them more than they expect always comes back to us eventually, several fold, and usually in ways we never expect.
