Old FloorPlan forum finally dead ?
« on: August 01, 2009, 04:28:34 am »
Sorry if a duplicated thread, but the old IMSI FP forum seems to have gone to the electron-recycler...

Even mails to their webmeister bounce...

If so, Adieu, Classic FP !

Hi Nik,

Nice to hear your 'voice' again!!

I would try again in a day or two.  They may just have a technical problem of some sort.

Hi, Allan, Joe !

I've been back several times-- Either the server throws me off, or I get the SQL (?) error message...

I've still got hopes of resuming my Medievalish project eventually, but I've not done anything in over a year. Finding that TFP had abandoned the proposed FP 'import' facility just about killed my chances of starting other than from a 'clean page'...

Instead, I've been writing SciFi & Fantasy again. Trying to visualise the complex, almost claustrophobic set for one tale was what first took me into CAD and FP...

Um, I did find what appeared to be a 'new' FP, but documentation was scant, I'd need to down-load and try, and it did not seem to accept 3rd-party mesh sources.

I'll keep looking. Unfortunately, though I can scribble in note-books during odd minutes and type-up stories when I can, learning a new CAD needs more quality time than I can spare...

imsisoft.com reused as mirror for imsidesign.com??
« Reply #4 on: August 07, 2009, 09:13:02 am »
Hi,

The old Forum http://forums.imsisoft.com/forums/Main.cfm?CFApp=232 now appears to have been down for a week.

Assuming this is hosted on the imsisoft server, I tried www.imsisoft.com, and this still works, but just appears to be a mirror of the imsidesign.com site.

Of course I don't know if this is a recent change and the reason the old Forum is not working, or if it has actually been like this for a while.

FP forum Gone again ?
« Reply #6 on: September 27, 2009, 01:35:35 am »
Any-one getting through to the old FP forum ? Looks like it was a victim of the server crash, too...

FWIW, given the low --If steady-- activity on the legacy site, restoring it would naturally be a low-priority compared to TurboCAD & TurboFP forums..
---

OT: While on holiday, I finally found the monster spreadsheet I used to continue my Medieval-ish project after FP ran out of head-room. Think squared paper, with 10 feet per millimetre box, spread to the very limit of our old lap-top's Excel95 aka '7a for Windows'...

Looks like the old FP forum has finally, finally died. A month on, even IMSI's link doesn't work...

RIP FP...
