Post by: bjbateman on March 21, 2019, 10:41:05 AM
Hope you can help. trying to layout a kitchen that has the old soffit boxes above the wall cabinets. I was able to make a wall 12" off the floor but can't figure out how to move the wall off the floor up to the top of the wall cabinets.

Hi there,

Regarding your question:
I was able to make a wall 12" off the floor but can't figure out how to move the wall off the floor up to the top of the wall cabinets.
In order to set the wall on top of the cabinet => say the top elevation of your cabinet is = 93" => select the wall => go to the Object Elevation field (outlined in blue in the image attached) => set the elevation = 93"

An additional idea that works fine for soffits.
Floor tab => select the floor tool => create a floor outlining the shape of the soffit (pointed in red in the image attached) => set the thickness (outlined in green in the image attached) => set the elevation as described in the  previous example (outlined in blue in the image attached) => texture as desired.

See attached.

Hope this helps.
