Breakfast Bar Cabinet

Hi experts
I want to stick in a breakfast bar type of cabinet, that has cupboards and a bench top on the kitchen side and a higher bar type top on the back side. For now I am using an island base cabinet, which is not exactly what I want. I thought I might be able to make a separate cabinet with the correct height for the back side and just stick it against the island, but if there is an easy-ish way to do the whole thing as a single cabinet please advise.

Hi Michael,

Use what ever combination of cabinets you want to make the 'bench top side'. This can then allow small sink inserts , range tops , dishwasher etc .

On the outside Bar type side, just use either the Surface tool or the Floor tool to draw out the size and shape of the raised bar counter. Once done it must be right clicked and Elevated and in it's properties , set to desired 'thickness'.

The wood colored object is actually a floor with right click 'curve' end in the attachment.

Thank you Jack, I did the surface, and although it took a while to find out where the height setting was, I now have a breakfast bar. It's not as nice as yours yet, but at least I have one.

Hi Rick,

Welcome to the forum!

You can change the height (off the floor) of almost anything, by right clicking and choosing Elevate.
Easy when you know how! 
Lots of other things hidden on the right click!! Varies depending on the object selected.
