Title: Kitchen & Bath - Couple questions
Post by: geohunt on December 31, 2009, 08:50:26 PM
Can you delete Camera Views you previously created and no longer want?

Can the software be configured to always show/display dimensions on your 2D drawing?

Can cabinets be labeled like "WC30" for wall cabinet 30" wide?

Simply put - yes, yes and yes!!

Cameras:   On the main toolbar you have a little Camera icon with a green tick on it.  This turns the visibility of cameras on on off. If you turn them on, then it is easy in plan view, to select the ones you don't want and delete them.

Dimensions:  Auto exterior dimensions can be turned on at Tools/ Dimensions / Auto Exterior Dimensions. This applies the dimension as they are at the moment.  If you change the walls at all you need to select this again to 'refresh' the dimensions.

Cabinet Names:  If you select any element in the Catalogie (side panel), right click and select Edit, you can change the name of the element and any other properties.  If you right click and select Add Element, then you can create a new one with the name and Properties you want - it will become part of your Catalogue.

You can do the same in your model but this would only change it in that project and would not appear in future models with that name.  If you have already modified the cabinet in your model, then you can add it to the Catalogie for future use in other projects by going to File / Catalogues / Save Element to Catalogue and then select the cabinet.  It will be added permanantly.

When I click on Tools/Dimensions my only choices seem to be Linear Dimentions, Aligned Dimentions, & Current Dimention Style?

If it matters I am using the Instant Kitchen & Bath software.

Thank you,
George

Hi George,

Sorry about that.  I am using the Pro version so I do not know what has been removed to produce Kitchen and Bathroom.
Sounds like Auto Exterior is not there.  I presume that is sort of logical since the K & B software is really only applies to interior rooms.

In the Pro version, the Linear and Aligned dimensions do stay on once they are inserted.
