I'm new to this forum and am just getting used to TurboFloorPlan...it seem like a powerful piece of software.
I created a home with a similar floor plan to mine with "house builder wizard" (basement and two levels).
I am then trying to move basement walls to my specification and am wondering if there is a way to "lock" the basement and 1st floor levels (maybe even upper level) so that when I change the dimension of the basement walls, the first level moves along with it? This will save me moving all the walls on each level separately.

There is no way that I know to lock the walls of different Locations (floors) together. The all work independently for good reasomn as you will see as you get used to the program, although the option to lock the walls in the way you have mentioned is a good one to pass on to the developers.
What you could do, if you have not done too much other work on the upper floors is to delete them, adjust your foundation walls to the size etc that you want, and then click the wall, right click and choose 'Select all Similar', (this will select all the walls) then right click again and choose 'Duplicate to locations'. This can copy the foundation to the Ground Floor, and repeat for a copy to the Second floor.
If you have done a lot of work on the upper floors then proabably quicker just to drag them to the same place as the foundation. You will usually get a little circle with a X in it, when the walls are over each other - zoom in close to get it right. To move the wall very exactly you can use the Arrow keys on the keyboard. They will, by default, move the wall 1" or 25mm at a time. You can go to Settings/ Programme Settings/ Drawing Aids and set the Nudge Distance right down to 1mm for example and every strick of the arrow key will move the wall, or whatever you select, by just 1mm.
I suggest to everyone just getting started with TFP to go right through the Programme Settings and read all the options so you can see what can be changed to suit the way you work. The defaults are usually fine but sometimes you may want to change something to suit you better.

There is a way to select walls on different location, you have to make a change in setting this is to unchecked [Select elements on current location only while ion plan view] , but observe this change will affect all location so if you not will affect on location, change the selection from on to off in the view filter. If you will move, for example your foundation outside wall 1 m or 1' north and you will that will chang on all location with one move, select the walls without click on them use a little rectangle marking, then right-click and select move, if you click on the wall agian it wil only select one wll. This can also been use to mow a hous to different place on your drawing.

Thanks for reminding me of that one. Being in Settings it tends to get forgotten. I have used it a number of times to move the whole building and one time I forget to switch it off again and made a real l mess of things before I realised!
Maybe the shock of that caused me to repress the memory! ;D

What is the version number of the copy of TFP that you are using? (See Help / About)
I think "Duplicate to Locations" was introduced in a more recent version, so you may have an earlier one or maybe you do not have the "Pro" version. I am not familiar with the 'Delux' version, so I am not sure whether it is in that or not.

I have TFP v.12 (Pro)...I think the most recent version is v.14? I don't know if it would be worth for me to upgrade at this time?
I will keep playing with it and let you know if I have any other questions...thanks for your help so far...

I think the 'Duplicate to Locations' was introduced in V14. There are other ways to do what you want, so as you say it may not be worth upgrading just to do that. Actually V15 can't be very far away anyway, as a new version general follows a few months after a new version of Envisioneer (parent program) and Env 6 was released a couple of months ago.
If there is no urgent need to upgrade you may be better off waiting for V15 and decide then.

The duplicate to location was already in TFP 12 i still have the manual.
To create a new story by duplicating walls on the ground
floor:
1. Make sure the current location is the Ground Floor, or
whatever location that contains the walls to copy.
2. Click one of the walls to copy, then Shift+click to select the
remaining walls.
3. Right-click and select Duplicate to Locations, or select Edit
> Modify Elements > Duplicate to Locations.
4. In the Duplicate to Locations dialog, select the Second
Floor (or whatever location you are copying to).
Note: When you copy a closed wall layout, a floor with the
default material is automatically created on the location you
are copying to.
But that is new in version 14 is "Select all similar", so you not need to click on all walls or floors or whatever.
