Title: Library catalog contents list available?
Post by: Doug.S on October 18, 2007, 01:44:27 PM
In FP11 and in TFP12p I often want to insert an object but either can't remember where it is in the library or in the case of new use of TFP I don't even know what there is in the catalog nor where its located.

My solution in FP11, instead of searching for hours, was to open a copy of the db in Access and could search or print an index or save a search-able file (.csv or similar). I could also then see if I had certain of my added .3ds models etc.

But now needing to look thru the objects available in TFP and whether I need to add to the catalog(s)....I don't find a way to open a listing of ALL the catalog db items...probably "TurboFLOORPLAN_Master Catalog.bdb" and "garden.db"

Anyone know how to open or print or search the lists?  I can at least look at the native .bmp files of textures...some of the file names are not very revealing but a thumbnail vie works.

Or do I have to open and look thru bits and pieces at a time?

Hi Doug,

Click on Help then User Guide; under the Contents tab at the bottom of the menu click on Catalog Index.

Thanks, yes that helps and "search" will find items and highlight them.

Now with the DVD in hand it has several extra catalogs.....any ideas how to find out what is in them? Other than click click click click looking?

Wish I could, been needing help with that one too.

I still can not seem to get the extras off the CD and into a new catalog. Out frustration I broke down and called IMSI to have the training CD over-nighted ... sure would have been nice for the customer service rep to have told me on the phone that the Over-night charges I was paying for did not mean that I was getting Sat. delivery!  >:(
