Title: merging files
Post by: tegid on May 02, 2010, 11:22:17 AM
I have just started using turbofloorplan pro and I would like to know if it possible to copy an image created on one file and integrate it into a second file.  For example a plan of a house created on the first file and the plan of the outbuildings created on a second file - can they be merged?  Copy paste does not seem to exist.

Many thanks in advance

Hi Tegid,

Welcome to the forum.

Sorry but this is not possible. Copy and paste is available but this is only within the one file. It is called Duplicate on the right click menu. Once you select Duplicate just drag the new object to its new position (it is sitting on top of the original one).

The only other thing you could do is to File/Export(as 3DS) the shed and import it into the house project. You must turn off the Terrain first or that will be  exported also. The only problem with this is that it becomes one object and cannot be edited, only the total size and colours can be changed.

Allan.

Many thanks - exporting as a 3DS file worked first time
