I am new to TFP, but a long time user of turbocad. I am running TFP Pro V14. I have a house drawn with the house wizard, then I added some pads. My problem is if something overlaps then I can't select one without selecting all items. Example I have the house and a drafting line. The line crosses the house, I want to select the house and not the line.
Thanks
Hi and welcome to the forum!
There a couple of things that will affect select of elements:
1) You can only select elements on the Location you are currently on (similar to Layers in TurboCAD). The default is Ground Floor. If you are on a different floor (in plan view) you cannot select elements on the Ground Floor. In 3D view you can select anything (excpet drafting lines).
2) You can control what you select or cannot select in Vew Filter. The little filter symbol turns selectability off and on. So you can for instance turn off Walls on all or just one Location using this filter. Using this you can turn off selectability of the drafting lines which will probably solve you present problem.
3) In Settings/Programme Settings you can make everything selectable on all Locations in Plan view but this is only used normally if you need to move the whole building to another place on the Terrain. If is very hard to work with this turned on.
Hope this helps,
Allan
Thanks Allen I will try these.
