Title: TurboFloorPlan 3D crashes when printing
Post by: murphj on September 13, 2010, 04:24:25 AM
Hi,

I'm using TurboFloorPlan 3D on Windows 7 64-bit and when trying to print to a networked printer, the program always freezes (comes up with 'Not responding') and I have to manually force the program to close.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Hi murphj, welcome to the TFP forum!

I don't think that the problem is directly related with the program, I run W7 64bits and I print using a network printer w/o problems
But anyway, lets try to solve this--> Some additional questions info
1 - What happens when you try to print from other program?
2 - Are you trying to print directly from the program?
3 - Does the program crash in any other situation? for example, does it render w/o problems?
4 - Did you try to print to a direct printer? Did you try to print to a PDF program?
5 - Go to--> Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers --> look for your printer--> Properties--> Sharing tab--> check the status /  properties
6 - Is the driver of your printer for Windows 7? is it for 64 bits?

Hi again, sorry for late reply.

I tried it again, and left it for a while and it eventually gave me an error:

'Arithmetic result exceeded 32 bits.'

Is there a known solution for this error? I searched the forum but couldn't find anything.

Thanks!

1 - Other programs print to the printer from any computer fine
2 - Yep, trying to print directly from TurboFloorPlan 3D
3 - No, just when printing - it renders ok
4 - Tried both but neither are working :(

And the printer driver says it is a 64-bit driver...so it's strange!

Thanks for your help

This is odd because it is an error I saw in servers, but indeed, it is a Windows error, not a TFP error. This error happens when the required driver is not ready to start

I'd suggest that you try this solution
