I am hoping someone can help me with this problem.
I am currently using Floorplan 3D v15.
I am trying to print off a floorplan on my own printer (HP photosmart C4435) in either 1/2" (which will yield me 12 pages overall) or 3/8" scale (which will yield me 6 pages overall), however, everytime I try to print it only about 4 pages print properly followed by some blank pages and then some pages that are totally blackened. This has been my usual result as long as the program hasn't frozen on me first. It has also taken upwards of 45 minutes to compete this printing process. I have fiddled with some of the print settings and at most have been able to print one more properly printed page followed by more blank and blackened pages.
I have successfully printed of the same floorplan in 1/4" scale which only takes a few minutes to complete.
I am wondering if this is a common problem or if there are any solutions I can try to help fix this problem.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Shannon
Hi Shannon,
I am no expert on this as I rarely print any plans, but I just took a small plan I had on TFP at present and printed it to my Epson TX800FW. It came out at 6 pages for 1/2" scale and all pages printed perfectly OK. That seems to indicate that TFP does it OK so may indicate an issue with the Printer or memory availablity (printer and/or PC) - as I said I am no expert so just guessing.
To test the memory out, I then printed a very complex, detailed plan from any earlier project and it also printed perfectly on all pages.
Do you have access to a different printer? If not try printing it to PDF ("PDFCreator" is free if you do not have a PDF program) then try printing from the PDF.

Thanks Allan,
Your suggestion to print from the PDF worked wonderfully!
Thanks again.
Hi Shannon,
Thats great.
Printing to PDF is handy too if you want to send it to a printer who can then print on one large sheet of paper for you.
All the best with your project.
