Hi,
I am tryin gto create a wall with the following construction:
1 inner skin of CMU block
(Airspace)
1 outer skin of CMU block with stone veneer
How do I create a new wall type element which is a cavity wall showing inner, outer skin with the airspace in between?
The only way I have created cavity wall is by editing the existing "100mm Brick Exterior Wall".
Now even when I choose this element, when drawn, it shows me the outer skin and an interior skin. It does not show the airspace gap in the wall.
I looked at the sample floor plans pre laoded and it clearly shows an inner skin, outer skin and airspace gap in between. How do I do this in my plans? I checked the property types too in order to compare ??? ..not sure what Im missing....
One other thing...When I insert a window in the wall, the window and sill are opposite of where I want them to be. I want the wiondow towards the outside and sill on the inside.

Re the window, if you select the window and right click, you can 'Flip the opening' which will move the window to the exterior edge but this will not move the sill. You can turn the sill off the exterior by using the Trim tab on the wall properties - choose Exterior in the dropdown list, go down to Window Sill and click Delete.
While there you can choose from the dropdown list the Left Interior Side (and Right Interior Side), go to Sill and choose a sill to use for the inside - but I can't get this to work in V15 (or in the parent program Envisioneer). If you select the window Properties you can tick the box to make the Trim appear around the edge of the window, and adding the sill turns the bottom edge of the trim off but does not display the sill. Looks like a bug or I have mssed something somewhere. Sills are rarely used in Australia so I have never bothered to investigate it previously. I will try to find out about it. In the meantime you can add your own sill by simply using the Custom Member in Interior Accessories / Decorative. Size it to what you want and right click Elevate to the height you want.
