Title: Floor changes - garage

On the attached file:

I have change the floor in the garage to a slab but it keeps coming up spotty - part conc. slab part hardwood.

I've tried "by room" and "picking points" many times with same results.  Any help?



Also, I would like to "drop" the floor in the garage (or raise rest of the house) about 6" lower than the house - any help?

Is it possible to draw a sloped floor in the garage - slope towards the doors and/or floor drains?

Dual textures indicates you have two floors in the same place.  Delete one of them (or maybe more by now) and change the remaining one to your desired texture if it is wrong.

Probably occured from having auto floor when creating a room and then later adding another floor.

Alternatively you can run a repair file and it will likely remove the extra florr...but maybe both and then you'll have to add in a floor again.

You can raise or lower a floor with the right click Elevate (negative figure to lower it).
Normally this would be done however by having the different parts of the building on their own Building Location which sets the floor level along with Wall Height etc.

The amount of slope you are talking about would not be visible in 3D so it is questionable whether it is worth the effort. However it can be done with the Stairs / Ramp tool or the Surfaces / Floor which allows you to draw the shape and then set the slope.
