I have started a new building plan and entered the walls but these appear on the 2D plan drawing in a pale yellow colour which is virtually invisible against a white background. I have looked in vain for a way to change the pale yellow into a more visible colour. How can this be done? The walls are the normal brick red in a 3D perspective view.

You need to access to the Element Manager in order to change this. You can access to the EM by clicking --> File --> Catalogs --> Element Manager or selecting the wall --> right pane --> right click on the category name --> Element Manager
The walls' screen will open --> Click on the Appearance tab --> click on the Line style type --> the menu will open --> the default color is Periwinle (a light purplish blue), but you can use your favorite color

Thanks for the response. I have tried what you suggested, but changing both the line style and the solid colour had no effect. The wall continued to be drawn in pale yellow. However I have noticed two peculiarities. The wall type I am using is called 240mm Veneer Wall which I assume is the same as that known in U.K. as a cavity wall. The thickness of yellow walls on the plan is much less than I would have expected from a 240mm wall. Also this phenomenon appears to be restricted to the Veneer Walls, both 230mm and 240mm. Other types of wall appear clearly on the plan drawing even though the line style says 'none selected', presumably using the default colour. Any suggestions why the Veneer Wall types are anomalous?

Did you change ALL the 2D line types (Core etc) in the Catalogue AND the Model?
Did you enable Solid Fill in Settings / Program Sttings? (if or when you want to use it)
Veneer walls are Cavity walls but the Veneeer is only added when walls join properly to form a room. I have previously created some cavity walls for other UK users that you may import and try too. Use the forum Search for Cavity and veneer and download the BIM file..
