When I was using the trial version of TurboFLOORPLAN, I could get to the menu for lines, circles, etc. when I went to tools. I bought the program, vs. 16, and, now, I can't get the drafting menu. I called IMSI and they said they would get back to me after they consulted with their expert in that field. So far, no response. It seems like it ought to be easy to do. But, I can't get there.
Sounds as though the Layout toolbar is turned off.
Go to Settings > Toolbars and set the Layout toolbar to Normal or Tabbed.
The toolbars are set to Tabbed when you open the program. Have you tried setting them all to Normal? Personally I find it much better as you can have them all open and arrganged where you want and you do not have two clicks to change toolbars by having to select the tab first then the tool. This works well for me. I have the main ones (Building and Interiors) vertically against the Catalogue so it is easy to select the item you want, eg Windows, then the Window from the Catalogue right next to it. If you are using two screens then you can move all the toolbars onto the second screen and have the whole screen to work on.
If you try setting all to Normal - one tip: Set them ALL to Normal, then arrage them on the screen and if there are ones you do not want, turn them off by clicking the X on the toolbar header. If you go back to the Toolbar Menu to activate another one you thought you may not want, they will all rearrange themselves against the left edge of the screen and you will have to move them back again to where you had set them!

Thanks for your help. I did rearrange my toolbars. However, I still can't find the drafting tools. According to the "Help" section, it is supposed to be under "Layout". I couldn't find it there. Since IMSI has been so slow in getting back to me, I think they have a bug in vs 16.

I am using V16 and the Layout Toolbar is defintely there - see the screen print below.
If yours is not there can you please do a similar screenprint for comparison.

Allan: I made my Toolbars just like yours. However, mine has "Help" below "Analyse" at the bottom. Still, no Layout under "Tools" or anywhere else to get me to "Line", "Arc", etc.

Are you sure that you have the Pro version - not Deluxe? I cannot see any other reason why it is not there. What is the full version number on the Help menu?
You should be able to take a screen view by pressing the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It will save the screen view to the Clipboard, then you can Paste it into any photo editing program, such as Paint (which comes with Windows) and save it as a JPG file. If you have Windows 7 it has a Snipping tool on the programs menu where you just draw a line around the part of the screen you want and you can then save it.

I have the Deluxe version.
Sorry but that is the problem. The Deluxe version is limited in quite a number of ways and that is one of them. You need the Pro version to get the Layout tools (and Animation, Sounds and many other options).
The Layout drawing tools would have been in the trial version that you had originally because the trial is always of the Pro version.

IMSI could of told me that a few days ago. It would have saved a lot of time and frustration. Customer service in this country is nearly nonexistence. By the time people quit buying a product because of poor or no customer service, mahogany row has cashed in their stock options and retired to the ranch.

I don't think customer service is just a problem in your country - world wide phenomenon I think- hence the proliferation in self help user forums! Keeping costs down is probably the usual reason.
The other problem is that often customer service is contracted out to call centres that service several other, probably unrelated, products too and often the service people are not users of the products and hence not really familiar with them.
The good old days of personal service is a thing of the past everywhere I suspect.

Yes, customer service seems to be a thing of the past. When I purchase something, I try to purchase it from a local source even if it costs more (at least, if it's not a whole lot more than the internet), so, I'll have a place to return it. "Caveat Emptor" is alive and well.
I'm able to return the "Deluxe". I bought the disk. I don't how I'd be able to return a download. However, I'm going to purchase the "Pro". I don't know if I'll download or order the disk. I really need to get back to drawing my plans. I've got to revise my site plan to please the city planing department. My house burned and I'm trying to prepare some plans to build another at the same site. It was a very old house. Now, the city has zoning and the new house must conform to the zoning ordinances. The detached garage wasn't harmed. But now, I've got to tear it down in order to get approval to build what I want. Maybe there is a conspiracy to make everyone be a bland, conformist glob. Me, and most people, need a shop where we can build and experiment or just drink beer and watch TV. With our zoning laws, that is somewhat difficult to achieve.
I still have plenty of time, so, I think I'll order the disk. However, I run the risk of it not having the updates, whereas, the downloaded copy should be up to date. Of course, "should be" and "is" are sometimes far apart.
Well, so much for that. Thanks again for your help. I'll probably be posting some questions soon. In the meantime, I think I'll download the graphics program in "openoffice" and practice.

I am sure you will find the Pro version better fills your needs. Deluxe all looks the same intially until you start going deeper and then you run into the limitations.

V16 is the current version - no update yet, although one is probably on the way as there has been a recent update to Envisioneer. They are always made available on the website anyway so any future udates should not be a problem.
I have always used a download and never had any issues - also quicker than waiting for a disk of course - especially to Australia!

If your purchase was not long ago, if it were me, I'd contact the company, explain being mislead by the trial, and try to get a refund or purchase pro for the difference from deluxe and return the deluxe...
if deluxe is not sufficient for your needs.
