I thought you may be interested in some experimental swimming pool renders.
For those who are interested in how it was done, these are the basics:
The pool itself was just a Pad (from the Landscape Terrain toolbar) with a negative thinkness, which just cuts a hole in the terrain to the depth you make the thickness (in this case -900mm). The Slab had a tile texture. The pool surround is just a Path, with the texture moved so that the tile grooves align with those of the Slab. The pool lights have their light source moved out and down so they throw the light onto the pool bottom.
In the first image, the water is a Box (see http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,315.0.html (http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,315.0.html)) with the texture set to one of the Water textures in Landscape Materials. It has been set to partially Transparent (so gives the transparent blue effect) and with Specular increased (to give the reflections).
In the second image a additional Box is used with the same water texture but I have changed it to make some of the blue into Magenta. This bright pink colour (Red - 255, G - 0, Blue - 255) become transparent when rendered, so it gives the effect of ripples on the water and casts shadows on the bottom. It also is partially transparent and specular. Not perfect but getting there.
The people obviously are photos 'cut out' using Magenta and imported as Photoboards. Parts of the 'person' below water were streaked with Magenta also, to increase the water effect.

Hi, Allan. Speaking of slabs, I can`t made the slab with negative thickness. TFP not allows to enter (for example) "-900", only values with "+". What`s wrong?

Sorry I mislead you I should have said Pad (from the Landscape Terrain toolbar) not Slab, which is just a floor. I will edit the original so no one else is mislead too!

Don't worry it is not you it is me! It is on the Terrain toolbar not Landscape! :-[
The Excuse: I have my toolbars set so I can instantly access everything, not by clicking a Tab first, so the actual name of the toolbar does not show. All the buttons are green so that has to be landscape surely? ::) Obviously not!

Allan, for some reason the custom shapes of boxes rectangle circle etc don't appear to in my catalogue. Where should I find them.

Don't worry I am not offended in any way. That is the probelm with the written word - it does not convey the intended feeling - why they devised 'smilies' I suppose.
You should find the Shapes if you right click in the Catalogue on the right of the screen (in Interior Accessories) and select Add Element. In the bottom section of the dialog box you will see Shapes. Triangles are not there, I created those and attached them to the Custom Shapes post in Tips and Tricks section.

Owning a swimming pool is one thing but maintaining it is a totally different ball game.Not a bad idea.A very useful teaching that will be referenced long into the future.Hopefully work very well.
