Title: Moving Plan To Different Position On the Layout Page
Post by: rjd on March 19, 2012, 09:56:38 AM
I  have a house plan located  in the middle of the layout page - how can I move it in entirity, including dimensions, to another position on the page? I can only find how to move individual elements - eg walls - not all as  a block.

Also How can I move the site plan and the boundary as one to a different position on  the page?

Thannk for any help with this   Ross

Hi Ross,

To move the whole plan and boundaries you need to go to Edit / Select All. This will select everything, right click and select Move.

HOWEVER:  If you have objects on different Locations (Ground Floor / Second Floor etc) then you need to go to Settings/ Programme Settings / Building Aids and uncheck the box "Select elements on current location only in plan view".  This makes all locations selectable when you choose Select All.  If it still will not move, turn off Collission (Status bar lower right).

Don't forget to turn "Select elements on current location only in plan view" on again when you have finished.

Just wondering however, why you want to move everything?  In your Personal Message to me you referred to printing. You can separately print any section of the screen using the Window option on the Print Menu dialog box.  Select Window and then the Window button and you will be prompted to draw a box around what you want to print.  If it is only for the purpose of printing then you do not need to move the model.
