Title: Wall heights
Post by: Gunstonwest on April 11, 2012, 01:40:55 PM
I need to have all rooms in the plan of 9' wall heights, but with one great room with 13' wall height. In the "Building Locations" dialog, I have entered the 9' wall height for ground floor. I then used an added Building Location ( no. 4) for the heightened room. What do I do next to insert that wall (no.4) into the desired room? The User Guide on page 9 does not help!  Thanks for your response.

Hi Bob,

Welcome to the forum!  :)

To simply answer you question you just insert the walls on the new location - they will connect up in 3D.

However, really we need to know a little more about your project to advise you best on this question.

First - where is the roof?  The roof sits on the top of the walls, so which wall is it sitting on? the higher or the lower? or does it have a separate roof on the higher section?

Is the room just a high section that will extend into the 'roof' area in the centre for example? If it is then you do not necessarily have to have this on a separate location.  Just select these walls, change the setting to Level and increase the height. - You will have to increase the ceiling height in this room also obviously (just Select and right click Elevate).

Hope that helps or give us the answer to the questions if more help is needed.
