Title: Correct interior wall

Allan.
You had a post somewhere else here talking about wall endings. I was a little bit unsure what you meant 'cuz you were a bit unclear on the markings.

I suppose this is a correct interior wall ending when you connect them together. *cuz when you put a wall into another you make this 45 degree angle right.. That's what I have learnt when making moldings.

I had to put it to life because I guess theres others out there thinking it maybe was unclear...

Hi Gelagirl,

Sorry if the previous comment was unclear but I am not sure which thread you are referring to, so my comments here may be a bit vague in clarifying it. Also I am not quite sure what your question is, but I assume you are asking if your image demonstrates a correct wall join. If that is the question then the answer is 'yes' - this is a typical connection for a wall joined at 90 degree to another wall.  If the walls are the same thickness, then they will create the 45 degree angles, as in your image.

If the walls join at an angle other than 90 degrees, or one of the walls is a different thickkness, then a 'triangle' in the join will be similar but not 45 degrees of course.

Sometimes however there may be a problem if you play with the join a lot, moving it, deleting other walls that may have connected at the same point, changing wall thickness, and so on, then you can end up with 'stray trainagles' in the join, as in the image below.

To see all these stray triangles in such a join, you need to select all the walls involved (click and drag the mouse over the join, or hold the Shift Key and click each connected wall).  If there are stray traingles in the join, (as in the image below) then there are potential problems and it should be 'cleaned up' (usually by deleting all the bits of the walls and redoing the join cleanly). Such bad joins can cause the baseboard to extend out of the building and off into infinity, it can cause the program to crash, can cause editing problems and renders to fail.  Sometimes 'File / Repair Project' will find and delete the offending walls but sometimes you have to find them manually, be selecting and zooming in on each join.

I am hoping that some of the above answered the question and cleared up the original comment (or did I make it worse?  :-\ )  If it is still not clear, then maybe you can provide the link to the original comment.
