I am still using a older version of FLoorplan. Floorplan V8. I plan on getting the newest one, but probably deluxe. But till then, I need to use this one. My problem is that the text in the rooms are blocks. I try to change the font, but it wont let me.
Can anyone help me with this.
I recently got a new a laptop and installed it. It is Windows 7, 2.2 Ghz, 4MB RAM.
I really need help with this font trouble. If anyone can help, it would be really appreciated. Thank You
Hi Pastorlee,
I am afraid my memory of V8 has faded over the years (not the ravages of time but the ravages of 8 new versions since then!) so I can no longer remember how text was handled. Can't you just delete it and redo it? Or is there a lot?
I know Doug and a few other users here had the old FP - maybe one of them can remember.
You will find when you eventually switch to TFP that it is far advanced on FP V8 but, as you probably know, the two programs, after V11, are not compatable. I would strongly recommend getting the Pro version if you can. If cost is the problem, then it would be worth waiting until you save up the difference or even buying the Pro version of V15 from Ebay or somewhere, rather than getting the Deluxe version of V16. You will run into many limitations with Deluxe. Even if you went right back to a Pro version of V12 or 14, it is still much more functional than V16 Deluxe and a huge improvement on V8.

While I used ver.8 (and earlier), I don't have it installed anywhere and don't remember any font issues.
If I were to look about (I probably have some old CDs including help from Jack Zimmer and others)...I'd start with the FP help file to find what can be done. I would think even back then that altering a font would have been possible.
Maybe Jack would remember.
Or maybe more from pastorlee of details...I'm not sure what "blocks" means or how/what tried to change font...perhaps a Google search might help....not at all sure the old FP forum is even active or archived to check/search.
