Is it possible to add stop ends to the ends of gutters as shown in the screen dump.

How did you do the guttering? If you used the method I suggested using the Line converted to a Member, all you would have had to do was go around the corner to form a mitred end and just drag the end back so it was extremely short.

Hi Allan, I did use your suggested method using a line converted to a member. I have played around with the gutter and the results so far. (see screen dump) What I was trying to achieve was a square stop end as is normal with gable roofs. Is this possible or is a mitered joint the best that can be achieved.

The only way I have found is to create a piece of floor with the same curve, export and import it again. During the import you can rotate it so it is vertical not horizontal and then size it as needed and elevate into place. Once created you have it then for future use but it is a bit messy getting it into place that's all.
There are gutter pieces under Plumbing but not sure from memory, if there is an end piece or even if the profile is the same, but even so it still has to be juggled into place. Much easier if you zoom in really close of course.

Allan, thanks for the reply. It appears that the process is a bit complicated. I think I will leave the stop ends out at this stage.
You could export a short section of gutter to a 3D program and use it to make an end plate...either extract the shape and make a plate or cut the gutter to a very short length (or export at that size) and "close" the ends.
Then as Allan suggested, import back to TFP, elevate into position.
It is not hard, just takes some time...maybe 15 minutes.

The method of doing this in TFP may sound difficult in words but I made this one in under two minutes!!
I have done a diagram that hopefully will make it clear.
I know it sounds odd to say to use the Floor to make the gutter end but the Floor is nothing more than a shape with three surfaces (top, bottom and edges - and a fourth one if you cut a hole in it). So all you need to do is draw the shape you want, to the size you want (or 10 times the size to make it easier to draw). Draw it with a sloping edge on one side so you can Curve it. All that takes well under one minute.
All you need to do then is Export it as a 3DS file, then immdeiately go to Interior Accessories and add it into your catalogue (Right click Add Element). In the import Properties dialog you can change the size back to the gutter size (if you made it bigger in the first place)and rotate the X coordinate 90 degrees (or you can do that after it is in the catalogue). It takes longer to find where you saved the file where than any other part of the process!
Make sure you do the whole thing in a new blank project and turn off the Terrain before you export (otherwise you will export the Terrain also!)
Give it a go when you have time - it is dead easy. ;)
