Nice work. I enjoy the nite scene. The landscape fits the building style. Question- the number 29. Your current age or the age you want to return to? My case would be return to. Very nice work.

These are great Rob. Nice job.
To help save on 'storage space' of the Forum, it is best to use jpg or png files. Bmp at these smaller sizes don't give much more detail but do increase file size tremendously. I try to keep most posted images less than 200 kb for renderings and ones not needed for quaility renders below 100 kb.
A jpg or png at over 1200 x size , shows more detail and less kb than your 800 x bmp :-)
What program did you use for your 3D signage?

In this project the 3D objects:
Roof Tiles, Window frame,Awnings with metal frames, Store signs and some Decorate wall fixtures I used TurboCad Pro V19 saved as 3ds files.
Palms, Trees, and some bushes, I used XFROG Plants 3D and Photoboard format.
Final Building and Landscape I created using TurboFLOORPLAN HOME LANDSCAPE 3D Pro V16
Currently I've been using AutoCad software, 3dMax, Brice, Maya, Carrera, and DAZ Studio etc.
I'm a TurboCad Fan since TurboCad Architectural and FloorPlan, Cad Course started, with You and Robert Berry years ago, Last version of TurboCad V12 and FloorPlan V10 until this year I Tried TurboCad V19 and Purchased TurboFLOORPLAN HOME LANDSCAPE 3D Pro V16 and look Forward to Purchasing TurboCad 3D Pro V19 ;)

P.S I'm New in this Forum and thought BMP was the prefer file to use, since PNG was not a format available when saving the render from TFP and hate JPG's I prefer PNG's but though the files would be larger ::) I wanted to post the best quality to best show TurboCad capabilities and my work.

Hi Robert,
BMP format was actually not allowed on the forum for a long time as they use up so much memory that eventually older images have to be deleted. They were only allowed temporarily so some photoboards could be shared but with the option that it be removed again if it was overused.
Web resolution is not that good anyway so JPG is fine really for this purpose and saves a huge amount of memory. BMP should only be used for photoboard that use Magenta for transparency.

When uploading the image it said in the- Allowed file types: doc, gif, jpg, pdf, png, txt, zip, bld, bim, 3ds, skp, dxf, dwg, wmv, avi, swf, flv, pps, bmp and in Restrictions: 4 per post, maximum total size 4096KB, maximum individual size 4096KB.
Are you saying that all my images I posted "Will be Deleted from this Forum" ??? and >:( Not being informed sooner and being mislead by the Allowed files and Restrictions :(
If so, it will be a Big disappointment to me and any that might of been Helped or Inspired by my postings :o
I will keep that in mind from now on ::)

...you're welcome Robert...I had a go at "making" my own photoboard tree, based on the advice in this thread. I took a photo of a gumtree at the bottom of my street, used Photoshop to cut out the background and turn it magenta, then had this practice render. I'm quite pleased with the detail...there are a couple of small areas of purple, but I can live with that.

Great Tree spices and great shadow.
I tried one time doing the magenta photoboard trick with no success. I think it was cause I did not save the tree as jpg before import.
I have a Software call XFROG Plants that comes with 3 format files:
Billboard- TIFF Image, Perspective- TIFF image and Model-3D image.
I use the perspective TIFF image open it in Photoshop and it opens with Transparent background/ Saved as TARGA images and imported the tree to photoboard without having to turn background magenta.
Is time consuming to select the Background completely of trees to change the color to Magenta ::)

Thanks for the info on your background and program use. I was hoping you had experience in TCAD. You know I'm a fan of using both products together , TFP and TCAD, yours and CAD Man are great examples of why.
You say you use AutoCAD. Have you tested importing dxf files from TFPlan to TCAD? That is what my one training video is all about. I've never used AutoCAD and would be curious to get feed back on how a plan imported from TFPlan to TCAD compares to one created in ACAD. I know the scope of most projects don't compare, I'm just interested in any thoughts on quality (of lines / text / aspects of the 2D work).
I wish more TCAD users would take advantage of the power of TFPlan. But I am certainly happy to see TCAD users here. You guys really know how to spice up activity and project presentations!!

NO - your image will not be deleted!! You are not to blame in any way and have no reason to feel bad about it. It is my fault entirely.
BMP is one of the file types listed and MB total is 4MB - so what you did was fine. The fault is mine in the I added BMP as an allowable file type some time ago, so that some Photoboards with Magenta could be exchanged. The intention was to remove it again afterwards, but I decided to just monitor it to see if it got overused.
Even though it defaults to BMP, most users set the save file on TFP to save as JPG, so that is what they usually post and there has not been a problem. Your first few posts were JPG, so I did not even look at future ones from that perspective until Jack noticed they were BMP. A more common problem is people posting very large images, which also use a lot of memory but are also hard to view, as they involve constant scrolling and you only see a small part of the image at any one time. A width of 900 pixels is about the maximum, without it involving scroll bars.
Jack is aware of an earlier occasion when images had to be deleted, but they will always delete the oldest ones first, so yours would be quite safe for some time. It is a shame when images have to be deleted though, as they often tell more of the story than the words do, so that is why we are conscious of the memory aspects of the forum.

Looks great! good shadow too! Real good "Aussie" tree!! I could use it if you would like to share it. I am always looking for different ones ;)
The 'pink' pixels should be easy to remove. Photoshop would have a similar tool to PaintShopPro where you just select a colour (the wrong pink - or pinks) and replace it with another one - the correct one (or a leaf colour if appropriate).

Hi Rob, Garry and everyone,
I have taken the liberty of splitting this topic and moved the balance of it to a new topic in the Ticks and Tricks section, since we had moved into talking about tree photoboards. You will find I have also added TARGA (.tga) as a file type that can be used on the forum.
Hopefully others will find it easier that way and others may want to share trees they have too.
