Everything I can find on identifying door hinge and door swing, says that looking at the door from the outside(key side), a Left Inswing door has hinges on the left and opens away from you. Likewise, a Right Inswing door has hinges on the right and opens away from you. Outswing doors, open toward you.
This is opposite from what is described in the Door Insert process. In the 3D Floor Plan v. 8 Tutorial, the selection of a 30" x80" right-hinged door, gives you a Left Inswing door by the above definition.
This isn't one of those right-hand-drive vs. left-hand-drive things, is it?
Quite honestly, for me, I have never worried about it because, if wrong, it is easily changed.
