After many advance renders this is the first time I have received this error message. Any clues as to the cause. I did import the front door from Green 3d home com. Could this be the cause.
Possibly/likely.....parse error means TFP could not separate pieces of a file correctly.
Easiest test is to hide the object (if possible; only the one item) or remove/delete the item and try the render again (either use a copy of the original .bld file or after deleting and rendering, "undo" to restore).
If scene renders OK without the object and fails with the object (consistently), then the object is the problem.
If it is the cause, suggest try redoing the source download etc. if important; could have been a small download error but not likely.
Or if you have another program, view the object in it, if OK, re-save it as this "may" correct an internal file error or the file formatting and TFP may like the new file.
Or post the file here to see if others get same error or can see/re-save from another program.
Otherwise you may need to find a different file.
Let us know your test results.

Thanks Doug for your reply, very helpful. After a long and exhausting process of elimination I found it was a gutter profile causing the problem. It was the box gutter profile that Allan produced for me that was causing the problem, then I used the quad gutter profile, again the one Allan produced, it rendered ok. Allan, I was wondering if you could try drawing this profile on your computer to see if you can replicate the same error, as it may be just my machine. Thanks Bob

Hi Bob,
Sorry Bob but it looks like there is a problem with that particular gutter. :( I tested it repeatedly and it worked every time in Basic render but failed in Advanced with a parse error. I have no idea why as it was made exactly the same way as the other ones. It has got more angles but that should not make any difference. It cannot even be a bad connection between in the line that is used to create it, as it will not create the object at all if there are any breaks (even microscopic ones) in the line or nibs sticking out, so that would not seem to explain it either.
Anyway I will create it again and see how it goes the next time. It may be a few days though - flat out as usual at the moment.

Allan, I was extremely grateful to your for producing the profile, so don't be sorry. Things go wrong sometimes for no reason and I am sure you will find the problem with the box gutter profile when time permits. I was pleased that you experienced the same problem as I was beginning to believe that my computer was the issue.
Pat, this could have been the issue with the past crashes I experienced, I will monitor the situation.
