I am new to turbofloorplan as well as the forum. I am working on my first project using this software and am having trouble with the pdf that i generate with pdf24. I would like to email a preliminary floor plan to the client, however when i view the pdf image the lines are all there, but so faint they are barely visible. Is there an easy fix for this?
Hi Tom,
You have three choices, but TFPlan is not designed to get good Working Drawings out of the box.
1. Go to 'Settings (on top menu)>Program Settings>Workspace > click Show Line Weights (on the right).
2. Enable 'Show Line Weights' and also change all your line weights to black when using your PDF Printer. (they still are not crisp black lines)
3. The only way to get Working Drawings that are proper. Export to DXF, Import to TurboCAD Designer (or Pro). Print proper vector drawings from TCAD.
#3 is covered in my training video link found in my signiture. If you plan on using TurboFloorplan for buisness / design, picking up either Designer or Pro version of Turbocad is the best solution.

thanks Jack. I purchased your tutorial last week and it is quite helpful. I was just hoping to be able to skip a few steps by emailing preliminary floor plans back and forth directly from turbo floor plan. After taking the steps you outlined, I was able to get acceptable line weights, but the pdf is not producing proportional shapes; squares print as rectangles in the pdf. Is there a fix for this?

Sounds like a scaling problem. When importing the dxf you must set drawing 'scale' to mm (milimeters)
When printing to pdf, if you alter the scale (like print to fit page), that may be causing a problem. I'd have to see the file.

I do all my printing to PDF24 and have not had these problems at all.
Have a look at the dialog boxes below for TFP and PDF24. Check the circled items. These are my normal settings. Try replicating them and see if you still have the same issues.

I think the problem is with the custom postscript custom page. Your response inspired me to try printing on a1 paper in landscape size and it printed perfectly to scale. After trial and error i found that i could print on a custom postscript page, but only in portrait mode. I think there must be a bug in the setup of a custom page in landscape mode? All the content prints but the images are distorted. I used all your same settings.

I have never used the Custom Post Script, which is a PDF24 option of course , (nothing to do with TFP).
I just select A3 in PDF24 printer Properties.
