Title: Compressed Siding

I created a wall where the lower third is stone and the upper portion is 6" CertainTeed lap siding.  I did this using the siding as a wainscott, which is a method I found in one of the post.  However the siding is compressed to look like 1" lap siding.  See the attached picture.  For comparison the other wall is 7" lap siding. 

If I make the stone the wainscott and place it at the bottom it works fine unless I have to extend the wall to cover a floor edge, at which point you get siding coming out the bottom and not stone.

It also appears that whatever was used as the base finish for the wall continues under the wainscott, which is throwing off the material estimates. 

Is there a solution to siding as the wainscott that doesn't compress it and is there a way to get it to correctly calculate material?

There are several issues here so I will try to cover the basics and let you decide what to do or which point best fits what you need.

Normally the Wainscott is used as the bottom of the wall to add a visual surface on the lower portion (in your case stone). The Wainscott can be extended below to cover the floor edge by using the Offset settings on the Wainscott.

The texture should not compress unless you changed the scale or Mapping settings.  Is this an imported texture, as I do not recall one by that name? If so what is the scale used? If it is a 'full height' texture (full wall height) and you try to fit it into the Wainscott height, then it probably would compress vertically.  I need some more detail on the texture itself to answer that question.

The wall's Drop Face will normally be whatever the wall itself is made of (not the wainscott) but I dont think that this is calculated in the materials list anyway.  If you want this type of wall consruction and want the quantities to be correct, you may have to use two walls on different locations, using the stone on the lower location and the siding on the upper.  The wainscott method is really only for visual effect to give the appearance of the construction not the quantities of it.
