Title: Can I use a shortcut to toggle roofs on/off?
Post by: WimYogya on August 16, 2012, 04:55:03 AM
While working I use the view filter often - too often in fact.
Especially with roofs. I often want to hide them and then show them a minute later again in another view.
Every time I have to access the view filter for that - with the 'roofs' being low in the panel so I have to scroll down every time.
Is there a quickkey, shortcut or other trick to toggle the roofs?
(Foor floors goes the same, but that happens less frequently)

Hi Wim,

To quickly 'hide' an item, go to the Filter Icon and select the right drop down arrow, here you can select 'Pick Item to Hide', click on the roof / right click Finish and the roof is turned off. (this can be use to select any item). You cab do this in 2D plan OR in 3D mode.

There are a few more options in the Filter drop down arrow too.

To quickly get to the View Filter, select the 'v' followed by the 'f' keys on your keyboard.

These two options will a least speed up the process.
