Title: What Is This Green Square? Can I Get Rid of It?
Post by: ahr8tch on December 10, 2007, 06:01:22 PM
In every drawing a single line green square appears after I've inserted a wall and footing.  The square doesn't seem to bear any relationship to the walls.  (see attached screenshot).

What is this?  Why does it appear?  Do I need it?  If not, how do I get rid of it.

TIA

The green square is your block of land.  Going by the size of your building it is too small. Generally you would place the building in the middle and set the size of the block somewhat bigger. (Settings/Program Settings/Terrain). In 3D view it should appeas as grass.

I dont think you could delete it other than by making it very small but there is no obvious why you would need to.

Is that little bit of wisdom recorded anywhere?  I've read and re-read the Help basic information without recognizing any reference to that square.  Around here, a lot that is 66' square is a mighty small lot.

Thanks again,

See first demo movie :-)

I always try to mention things that may be considered 'obvious' by others. I note that help, doesn't mention it right away. Everyone should go over the Getting Started Guide. My training videos cover much more.
