I created the external walls using the walls by baseline tool. Now when I make interior walls they will not intersect with the external walls, except for one internal wall that was on the same exterior wall as several others. I made the exterior walls of a "General" construction, instead of framed because they will be Structually Insulated Panels. The interior walls are framed. I converted the exterior walls to framed but that didn't make a difference.
When I go to position the first point of the wall against the exterior wall it shows the distance to the parrallel outer wall but once drawn it does not show the distance, which it had been doing in my previous house model.
Hi D,
Walls by baseline should not affect walls intersecting, neither should framed or unframed or custom. The only reason I know of that an interior wall will not 'intersect' or merge is that they are being drawn on a different location setting.
Do you have Exterior walls and Interior walls on the same location?
Please post a jpg (screen grab) of the problem.
