it only wants to go in a cabinet but i cannot hide the cabinet!
to overcome the triangle counter top i made all the kitchen cupboards in a 3ds file.
Hi Rick,
You cannot insert a sink into a 3DS object as it will not cut the hole in it. TFP cabinets have the 'inteligence' to do that automatically and the sinks know that they are not used outside a cabinet. There are some wall mounted ones that do not need a cabinet but they are not a kitchen sink style.
You could insert the cabinet with sink on a different location and on the other location turn Cabinets off in the View Filter. You could do that on the existing location but that will turn off any other cabinets you have in the model.
Allan
thanks Allan
You could modify the .3ds object in another 3D program to easily cut away an opening for the sink and then insert the modified 3ds object and then a sink will set into the opening OK.
Thanks
that worked fine.
i also found you can export then import 3Ds from one directory to another!
