Title: Slab on Grad in TFP 16
Post by: whidbey011 on September 30, 2012, 03:23:30 AM
I am working on a house project in TFP 16 and want to do a monolithic slab foundation.  My question is:  once I create the foundation in the initial setup wizard, it is a solid slab, rather than a monolithic slab with perimeter footings, etc.

Do I need to do a separate set of footings after creating the slab? or what?

Thanks

When you use the "wizard" it is a "starter" file; not complete . . . just to get you going with bare basics and provide examples rather than a blank screen.

In doing the wizard setup it shows foundation/footing for slab as "greyed out"; that is why it is not there.

You can insert a footing anytime. Go ahead and just add it in.
