Title: Extending section of a hip roof to form a skillion

I am trying to pull the edge of a hip roof out 1m over an addition to a house to form a skillion as explained in the attachment. I am having some difficult. Allan I am sure you could assist.

Hi Bob,

I am assuming you want the roof to continue down so that gutter for example will be at a lower level than the rest of the roof. If this is the case then do the following:

1.  Select the roof and insert a Break (right click) at each side of the 'extension'.

2.  Select just that section so the arrow is green and ALL the others are red.

3.  Right click again and choose Move Edge - and select "Adjust Support Height".

4.  Drag that edge out to where you want it.

If you do this you can drag the roof edge all the way to ground level if you want.

If that is not what you mean then I may need a little more detail.
